Employee Satisfaction Contributes to High-Quality Care
Experience shows that happy and engaged employees demonstrate a high degree of job loyalty, make improvements on the job and tend to stay at their job longer. In other words, employees who are satisfied in the workplace are likely to have higher levels of expertise and commitment to quality.
Holland Hospital boasts a low staff-turnover rate. We make it a point to let our employees know they are valued. Just as importantly, Holland Hospital employees know that they are contributing to something larger than themselves: the health and well-being of people in our community.
Benchmark satisfaction ratings
Holland Hospital leaders periodically invite employees to respond to a confidential survey to gauge their employement views related to his/her role, environment, leadership, safety and other workplace topics. Most recent survey results reveal an overall satisfaction rate of 87.3 percent, meaning that close to nine out of 10 staff members feel positive (or, in many cases, very positive) about their employment at the hospital.
According to the outside firm contracted to conduct the survey, our satisfaction ratings for all categories of the survey were the highest recorded for any hospital conducting a similar survey, making Holland Hospital the benchmark hospital for employee satisfaction.
