Admitting & What to Bring

Prior to your stay at Holland Hospital you will receive a call from registration personnel, who will register you by phone and give you any information you need for your visit.

You will also be directed where to park. If you arrive at the hospital and are uncertain where to go next, just ask for assistance at the Information Desk inside each entrance. A friendly staff person is ready to help you.

We want patients to be as comfortable as possible during their hospital stay. You are welcome to bring your own sleepwear and toiletries. For articles such as glasses, hearing aids and dentures, it is helpful if you label the case or container with your name and place the items in your bedside stand when not in use. Please DO NOT place them on your food tray or bed linen. Patients are responsible for these items.

You should also bring with you:

  • Picture identification
  • Insurance card
  • Any instructions your physician may have provided
For safety reasons, do not bring razors or personal electrical appliances such as radios or hair dryers. Battery-operated or cordless appliances are acceptable.

If you have valuable items with you, please send them home with a family member or friend. If this is not possible, request to have the items kept in the hospital safe. Holland Hospital is not responsible for items of value unless they are deposited in the safe.
