Excellent patient care is just one of the many requirements to receive the PACE award for Nursing Excellence. When Jen Yoder, BSN, 3-West, received the PACE packet, the criteria validated her feeling that she was already performing at a high level.
“I felt like I was giving good patient care and once I got the packet for PACE, I realized I was doing all the things required,” she said.
Jen has been a nurse at Holland Hospital for 10 years, with a specialty certification in Pediatrics. When asked how she reacted when learning about the award, she replied, “It is exciting to be acknowledged for the good work that I do. It feels good to be reaffirmed that I give good patient care.”
