Holland Hospital has been recognized for encouraging its employees to lead healthier lives. In late October, the hospital received a Finalist Award as one of Michigan’s Healthiest Employers, finishing second among eligible organizations outside of the Metro Detroit area with 500 - 1499 FTEs.
“It’s an honor to win this award,” said Sandy Navarro, employee wellness coordinator for Holland Hospital. “We want our employees to be at their optimum physical and mental health. We need to be the role models for our community.”
Michigan's Healthiest Employers Awards recognize small, medium and large companies whose policies, programs and culture create healthy employees and healthy workplaces. Winning organizations had the best scores in six key categories including culture/leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication/marketing, programming/interventions, and reporting/analysis The award program was co-sponsored by Priority Health, Crain’s Detroit Business and MI Biz newspapers.
