- Knee replacement is a treatment option specifically designed to address and relieve pain caused by joint degeneration due to osteoarthritis.
- In 2017, MAKO robotic-assisted technology became the first robotic technology to be used across the joint replacement service line to perform total knee, total hip and partial knee replacements.
- Through CT-based, 3-D modeling of bone anatomy, surgeons can use the Mako system to tailor surgical plans and identify the implant size, orientation and alignment based on each person's unique anatomy. That means greater precision and comfort for you or someone you love.
- Since 2017, over 1,000 procedures using the MAKO robotic-assisted technology have been performed at Holland Hospital.
