Proceeds from the Culinary Cabaret benefit the Holland Community Health Center

HOLLAND, Mich., March 7, 2024 — Mark your calendars for a delicious evening of culinary delights and community support! Holland Hospital is set to host its annual Culinary Cabaret on Thursday, March 14 to raise funds to benefit the Holland Community Health Center (HCHC), which provides high-quality and compassionate health care to uninsured and under-insured individuals. HCHC is a primary care office that currently serves over 4,600 patients annually in the Holland, Fennville, West Olive, Saugatuck, and Douglas areas.

The 2024 Culinary Cabaret returns to the Pinnacle Center, offering a delectable journey through the flavors of the lakeshore. This fun-filled evening features exquisite cuisine and refreshments from premier local restaurants to suit any appetite, including 1983 Restaurants, Big Lake Brewing, Boatwerks Waterfront Restaurant, Borrowed Time, Butch’s Dry Dock, Crane’s, Fenn Valley Vineyard, Holland Cakery n’ Sweets, Holland Civic Center Place, Mezkla Taqueria, Tulyp Hotel and Uncommon Coffee Roasters. Live entertainment adds the finishing touch to this unforgettable evening, while all proceeds directly benefit the HCHC, ensuring vital health care services for those in need.

“A fully funded Holland Community Health Center allows us to prioritize care, eliminating financial barriers faced by many patients,” said Jessica Ritchie, practice manager at HCHC. “We're proud to provide high-quality, accessible health care to patients in the greater Holland area and deeply appreciate the community’s support through the Culinary Cabaret.”

HCHC offers specialized services, including primary, behavioral health, and preventative care as well as obstetrics, well-patient visits, and children’s health. The office also offers services beyond traditional health care such as offering transportation and social services to remove barriers that patients may face while receiving care. In 2023, HCHC served 4,600 patients with over 14,500 patient visits.

In 2023, Holland Hospital’s Culinary Cabaret raised $196,581 for the HCHC. This significant achievement is a testament to the strength of the community and the generosity of numerous organizations. HCHC has been dedicated to providing essential primary health care services to uninsured and underinsured individuals and families in the greater Holland area for over 25 years.

Guests can elevate their experience by participating in live and silent auctions, where they have the chance to bid on luxurious prizes and take home something special. Whether attendees crave a dream getaway, exquisite jewelry, or the latest electronics, the auctions offer the opportunity to win big while working to provide vital health care to the Holland area. Attendees also can join the wine pull, featuring bottles ranging in value from $20 to $100. Each pull offers a surprise bottle of wine, adding a toast to the evening.

Holland Hospital Culinary Cabaret will take place at the Pinnacle Center in Hudsonville on Thursday, March 14 from 6-9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online through March 11 or they will be available at the door, while supplies last. Guests must be 21 years or older to attend and tickets cost $125.
