HOLLAND, Mich., June 15, 2023 — Holland Hospital Boven Birth Center is welcoming those who are expecting, or considering it in the future, to an Open House and Tour on Monday, June 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. for the first time since the three-year renovation and expansion was completed in 2020.
Guests can explore the 33,713-square-foot wing that offers best-in-class care on the lakeshore. The open house provides an opportunity for guests to meet various providers and health care experts during a self-guided tour, ask one-on-one questions, enjoy appetizers, and enter to win parent-centric giveaways.
“We look forward to welcoming moms-to-be (and dad’s, too) to our open house to explore the high-quality, compassionate care offered at the Boven Birth Center,” said Nicole Huisman, director of Holland Hospital’s Boven Birth Center. “The event offers guests the opportunity to meet our staff and medical providers and to see our beautiful facility as they consider where to grow their family.”
During the open house and tour, guests can learn more about Boven’s features which include 21 private mother-baby rooms, eight labor delivery recovery rooms, four private triage rooms, two state-of-the-art operating rooms, a two-bed post-anesthesia care unit, two nurse stations, a well-baby nursery, and a special care nursery. Guests will enjoy getting to know physicians from Ob/Gyn Associates of Holland, PC, registered nurses and patient care assistants from Boven Birth Center, experts from our special care nursery, board-certified lactation consultants, parent advocates, and physical therapists specializing in pelvic health issues.

Boven Birth Center has received the highest level of recognition for maternal care from the Michigan Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health since the program’s inception five years ago. The program includes ways to help recognize patient safety benchmarks and address bias and health equities. Holland Hospital has been recognized as Top 5% in the Nation for Outstanding Patient Experience 15 years in a row.
