Holland Hospital was recently honored with two separate awards that recognize the hospital’s commitment to heart/vascular and endoscopy patients.
For a fifth consecutive year, Holland Hospital received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR ACTION Registry–GWTG Gold Performance Achievement Award for implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients. “We are pleased to provide this highest level of heart care services to our community,” says Todd Knight, MSN, RN, CVRN, Director of Invasive / Interventional Procedures for Holland Hospital. Only 55 hospitals nationwide received the Gold Performance Achievement honor in 2014.
At the same time, Holland Hospital's Endoscopy Center staff has been recognized by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) for their commitment to patient safety and quality. The Endoscopy Center met the ASGE’s rigorous guidelines on privileging, quality, endoscope reprocessing, infection control and staff competency.
“We are honored to be recognized by the ASGE for our efforts to enhance quality and safety in our endoscopy unit,” said David Zink, MD, Medical Director of Holland Hospital’s Endoscopy Center. “Through ongoing education and continued compliance with their program’s requirements, we demonstrate our commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient care.”
