“Holland Hospital’s Boven Birth Center has been the first choice for expectant mothers for years with over half of South Haven moms choosing Holland Hospital for their birthing experience,” said Patti VanDort, Senior Vice President & CNO. “We are delighted with this partnership that brings local OB care to our South Haven patients.”
Bringing OB/GYN Associates of Holland to South Haven gives patients the added convenience of local access to care and less travel for routine gynecological care and pre- and post-natal appointments.
“We are pleased to partner with Holland Hospital to bring obstetrical and gynecological services to South Haven,” said Mary Gootjes, MD, OB/GYN Associates of Holland. “Best of all, our patients will reduce their number of trips to Holland for their monthly and sometimes weekly prenatal monitoring.”
The fully renovated building will feature four large exam/treatment rooms, office areas and a bright lobby in a relaxing, comfortable environment.
Holland Hospital’s Boven Birth Center provides expert staff, state-of-the-art facilities and a uniquely personalized care approach. The Special Care Nursery (SCN) also gives pre-term and term babies needing specialized attention the extra monitoring and care needed before going home. The eight-bed SCN unit is staffed by dedicated pediatric hospitalist physicians and neonatal nurse practitioners around the clock.
